If you haven’t seen The Avengers by now, and you enjoyed the other Marvel movies, then make sure to take some time out of your schedule to see it. This movie delivers, and with a bit of everything. It’s like getting all of the movies rolled into one. Captain America, Iron Man, the Hulk, Thor, Hawkeye, Black Widow, and Nick Fury all get their time to shine. Each of them gets some action, some dialog, and some nice character interaction. Plus there’s a ton of fun and some good laughs.

The story worked out pretty good. I was a little apprehensive when I saw in the trailers that Loki was going to be the villain, but he did a great job. I also really enjoyed how they layer the movie with a gradual progression that continued to build all the way up to the end. The special effects looked nice, but honestly the real draw was the characters and actors. Each of the actors did a great job and the script gave each of them their due. Surprisingly my favorite part went to the Hulk, even though I’m not a big Hulk fan. I think that in itself goes to show how well they did. All around, this is a movie that packs in the entertainment and the fun. I give a 4.5 out of 5 metal bikinis.

Oh, and remember to stick around during and after the credits for bonus scenes. (Yes, all the way to the end. The credits are really long.)
