Warner Bros finally unveiled Gal Godot as Wonder Woman of Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice.  Can we all just stop the talk about how Gal is too thin (I’m looking at you, fanboys) so not powerful enough to be WW?  She looks powerful enough to me.

Teaser Poster for ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier’

iyrhujMarvel has released the first teaser poster for the upcoming Captain America: The Winter Soldier, which is said to be more of a sequel to The Avengers itself than Iron Man 3 and the upcoming Thor: The Dark World, have been. The Marvel sequel is reportedly introducing The Falcon and Agent 13 into their Cinematic World, and features Captain America and the Black Widow teaming up to confront The Winter Soldier, aka Bucky Barnes, played by Sebastian Stan in the first Captain America film.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier stars Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Emily VanCamp, Cobie Smulders, Robert Redford, Anthony Mackie, and Samuel L Jackson. It is due out on April 4th, 2014.

More Spider-Man, less Loki?

It was announced today that not only will Sony be producing an expected Amazing Spider Man 3, but it will also be moving forward with a 4th film in the recently rebooted series starring Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone. Filming is currently underway for the first sequel to the 2012 reboot, with all the main cast members returning. The Amazing Spider Man 2 will also introduce key Spider-Man characters Harry Osborn, Norman Osborn, and Mary-Jane Watson, played by Dane DeHaan, Chris Cooper, and Shaileene Woodley respectively. Furthermore, Jamie Foxx will play the film’s main antagonist, Electro.

The Amazing Spider Man 2 is set to be released on May 2nd, 2014. The recently announced 3rd and 4th films in the series are due out on June 10th, 2016 and May 4th, 2018.

Also in superhero news, Joss Whedon recently gave an interview promoting his new film, Much Ado About Nothing, in which he touches upon the upcoming Avengers 2. Whedon mentioned that Loki, the first film’s antagonist played by Tom Hiddleston, will not be back in the highly anticipated sequel, at least not in any major capacity at this time. Marvel’s The Avengers 2 will be released on May 1st, 2015.

New Developments at Marvel

john c reillyAs Phase 2 started with the critical and commercially successful Iron Man 3 – and many are anxious for the follow up to Joss Whedon’s The Avengers – Marvel has already begun plans for the eventual Phase 3. Marvel Studios has scheduled two upcoming and as-of-yet untitled Marvel movies for Phase 3, which will join the already announced Ant-Man film.

Furthermore, as production begins on Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, it has just been announced that actor John C Reilly has been cast as Rhomann Dey, who is reportedly the leader of Nova Corps. Reilly is only the most recent addition to the cast that includes ChrisPratt, Zoe Saldana, Karen Gillan, and Glenn Close.

Guardians of the Galaxy is due out August 1st, 2014.

If you haven’t seen The Avengers by now, and you enjoyed the other Marvel movies, then make sure to take some time out of your schedule to see it. This movie delivers, and with a bit of everything. It’s like getting all of the movies rolled into one. Captain America, Iron Man, the Hulk, Thor, Hawkeye, Black Widow, and Nick Fury all get their time to shine.
