  • Suvudu released an exclusive video of their Star Wars: A New Dawn panel from SDCC.
  • Coffee with Kenobi interviewed John Jackson Miller on his new book A New Dawn.
  • Goodreads has a giveaway for Stories of the Raksura by Martha Wells.
  • Silence in the Library has a kickstarter out for one of Timothy Zahn‘s novels Cloak. In his words, “So if you think you might be interested in reading about a stolen Indian tactical nuke, an assassination plot, and the theft of a newly-invented Cloak of invisibility, hop over to the Kickstarter page and take a look.”
  • Kevin J. Anderson also has a book out now on writing called Million Dollar Productivity.

Movie & Television News

  • We finally have a release date for Star Wars Rebels one hour premier: October 3rd on the Disney channel.
  • New teaser for Star Wars Rebels called “Art Attack”.
  • Disney also has a 30 second Zeb teaser.
  • Edgar Wright and J.J. Abrams are teaming up for…something.
  • The first draft of the next Star Trek film’s script is now complete.
  • The sci-fi film Young Ones has a new trailer out that looks pretty good. The movie will be out on October 17th.
  • Another sci-fi film coming out this fall is Automata starring Antonio Banderas. Looks like an interesting mix between Blade Runner and I, Robot. You can check out the trailer here. There will be a limited release on October 10th.
  • In other movie news, Keanu Reaves will be playing an assassin this fall in John Wick, David Yates has signed on to direct Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them–the next Harry Potter film–which will be out November 18, 2016.
