Blast Points Podcast: Episode 104 breaks down The Last Jedi from beginning to end. They give some nice farewells to the characters we lost, they nickname Bootleg Asti — which is perfect, and boy did they make me laugh about the caretaker party deleted scene speculation. This episode is just the thing to bring a smile to your face. Terrific episode.
Podcast Network: N/A, Runtime: 1 hour 34 minutes, Audio Quality: Excellent, Editing: Excellent, Hosts: Jason, and Gabe, Rating: Great
Brews and Blasters: Episode 148 is their roundtable extravaganza for The Last Jedi as they get into spoilers and have on a bunch of guests. Chris and Joe kick things off as they talk about the collectibles at the theater, the John Williams featurette, and their initial impressions. They play some of the soundtrack in the background, then start breaking out the guests. First up is Dennis, Taxus and Jay Krebs from Starships, Sabers, and Scoundrels. Then Stephen and Swara from Beltway Banthas, followed by Mike from The Sandcrawler, Kendall, Courtney, Jay and Josh from Green Justice: An Arrow Podcast, Rich and Sarah from Skywalking Through Neverland, Becca and Devon from Kanata’s Castle, and Joey from Animanicast. Great discussions covering everything from the bomber run to the broom stick boy. It’s a long one, though.
Podcast Network: Retrozap, Runtime: 3 hours 33 minutes, Audio Quality: Excellent, Editing: Excellent, Hosts: Joe and Chris, Rating: Great
Card Trader Illuminerdy: The Last Jedi Spoiler Debrief is one big, chaotic but fun discussion of The Last Jedi. The topics are random, but the conversation is entertaining from beginning to end. And it’s all The Last Jedi focused as they delve into the characters, the scenes, the music and random things like square watermelons, porg turkey legs and fun with microphones. It’s not a very polished podcast, but it’s fun.
Podcast Network: N/A, Runtime: 2 hours 3 minutes, Audio Quality: Good, Editing: Good, Hosts: Mike, Tommy, Rhett, and Earl, Rating: Fun
Fly Casual: Episode 165 covers The Last Jedi, gets into spoilers, and fair warning, they’re very negative. If you liked the movie, you’ll want to skip this one as it’s pretty painful to sit through as they bash the movie for almost 2 hours. If you didn’t like The Last Jedi, however, you mind find this one cathartic as they share your opinion.

Bobbie actually brings up an interesting point how people seem to like it better the second time around and whether staying spoiler free was really the way to go or not. They talk about the differences seeing it a second time, they cover the new characters, Rian Johnson’s choices, and more. Great discussion.

Less Than 12 Parsecs: Bonus Episode 8 is very different from normal due to the length. Generally episodes of Less Than 12 Parsecs are around five minutes or less, and generally it’s just Tim. But this one breaks both of those boundaries and features guest Ryan Dassing as he and Tim talk about The Last Jedi for just about an hour and a half. They give their overall opinions, go into spoilers, and do a breakdown of the entire film. They talk about what they liked, and what they didn’t like. Good discussion.

Rebel Force Radio: The Last Jedi Review Show #1 features Jason, Jimmy and Billy Mac as they talk about the movie and get into full spoilers. They touch on various topics, themes and elements. I liked their observation about how the movie explored the theme of trust with the characters, often toying with the audience in regards of who you could and couldn’t trust as the story progressed. Plus their Lando hibernation discussion cracked me up.

Skytalkers: Our Immediate Star Wars: The Last Jedi Reaction episode does go into full spoilers as they discuss the movie. They start with some discussion right before seeing the movie, then they come back with their post-viewing thoughts after seeing it the first time. They then go and see it a second time and record some more thoughts. They talk about the connection between the characters, the big moments, the ending, the humor and whether it worked, what didn’t work, and more. Great discussion, but it is audio recorded in their car and later in the parking lot, so the audio quality isn’t on par with their usual episodes. Worth checking out, though.

You’re misrepresenting “Fly Casual”. Their opinions good and bad were backed up with with reason and explanations each time. You might not agree with their opinions, but it doesn’t fall into a “Not Good” rating. It’s one of the few immediate review podcasts that is expressing well thought out opinions on what they liked and didn’t like.

Well the rating is also my opinion, and I didn’t enjoy it. But I also made that clear in the review and I also stated that if you didn’t like the movie, that you might like this episode. And let’s be honest, those guys were having fun bashing the movie. I’m not holding it against them, but it’s something to keep in mind before you listen to the episode.
