Here is this week’s Podcasts in Review.
Assembly of Geeks: Geeked Out Dads, Hi-Def Trauma & Ticked off Peggy kicks off with Regina, from Comic Book Noob, and her dad as they geek out on space and pop culture in celebration of Father’s Day. Then Matt, Scott and Jeff cover the news, The Killing Joke getting a one day theatrical release, new Transformers animated release, LEGO’s The Freemaker Adventures, and more.
Blast Points: Episode 26 covers some news, E3, the Palpatine tv script, LEGO’s The Force Awakens game, the Lucas museum, and then they head into their Qui-Gon-a-thon as they talk all things Qui-Gon. They cover his Jedi philosophy, his relationship with the Jedi council, his ability to live on in the Force, and how Luke is more like him than any other Jedi. Great entertaining show as always.
Blast Points: Episode 27 touches on the Episode VIII licensing expo news, Celebration panels, then plows into the Rogue One news. They cover the Rogue One pics, the Entertain Weekly character info, and take a deep dive into the Saw Gerrera reveal, the ties and connections, and the storytelling potential. Another great episode that is keeping this podcast in the top of its category. Blast Points is easily one of the best podcasts out there right now for Star Wars discussion. Here is this week’s Podcasts in Review.
Bombad Radio: Glenn Panel features audio from the Glenn Moreshower panel from Salt Lake Comic Con. While you probably won’t recognize his name, you would recognize his face and voice as he’s been in a lot of movies in small roles. He talks about show business and Hollywood and is actually really funny. He tells some good stories and has a hilarious tip for people to get over their nervousness. I recommend checking this one out, it’s a lot of fun.
Coffee With Kenobi: Episode #36 is hosted by Dan and Jeff as they talk Star Wars news. Corey joins them for an experimental review of A New Hope done as if it’s the first time they saw it back in the day which is kind of corny but also funny. Then they have audio of a radio segment they did, an interview with Lou Mongello who talks Star Wars and Disney World (good guest), and they wrap things up with a collection of hilarious outtakes and then some listener feedback. Great episode. I also want to give a shout out to Jeff for filling in for Corey. He does a superb job. Fans of the show won’t be disappointed.
Celebration Anaheim Recap features their coverage of days three and four of Star Wars Celebration Anaheim. It’s recorded on their way home from the airport, so the audio is a little raw, but it’s still worth a listen as they have some good stories on what they did, who they met, and what happened. October 6, 2011 at 7:31 am | Posted in Entertainment, Humor | 1 CommentTags: return of the ewok, warwick davis
The year 1983 was a wonderful time during May. That was the month Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi was released. But before ROTJ was made, little did the eagerly anticipating fans know that there was another. Always two, there are in the Star Wars mythos. In order to help promote the upcoming finale of the Star Wars series, David Tomblin and Warwick Davis created something very special, and it was called…RETURN OF THE EWOK!

Yes, that Ewok is only 15, but give him a sharp stick and he’ll eat you.
