501stCast:Episode 88 touches base with the trooper who finished walking around Australia and the trooper who trekked from San Francisco to San Diego. Then they recap their Star Wars Celebration experiences and play a live segment they did at the con. Wrapping things up is troop reports and upcoming events. Great way to catch up with the legion. Lots of good content in this episode.
Coffee With Kenobi:Ultimate Star Wars Book Chat features authors Adam Bray and Tricia Barr as Dan and Corey interview them about the book Ultimate Star Wars. It was a good interview but I do want to note there were a couple audio issues with overlapping audio and one lengthy pause. Otherwise a good episode.
Comics With Kenobi:Episode 1 is hosted by Jeff and Matt as they talk a little about themselves and their comic fandom then dive into Star Wars comics. They go over all the Marvel Star Wars series that are currently out and talk a little about the latest issues. With there not being that many Star Wars comic podcasts out there (in fact I actually don’t know of any dedicated solely to Star Wars comics), this podcast definitely fills a niche that’s been longing for some attention. Bombad Radio: Episode 194 includes several guests. The first guest is Star Wars autograph collector Frank D. Rich who talks about collecting autographs and Star Wars Celebration Anaheim, giving some tips for first timers and some discussion of pricing. Then they play a clip of a James Arnold Taylor interview from Celebration VI where James talked about faith and Star Wars before seguing to their second guest, Greg, who is behind the Celebration of Worship events. Then they cover some news and jump to their third guest, voice actor Stephen Stanton. They talk about Life Itself, Star Wars Celebration, Starlight Foundation, the 501st Bash, Tarkin, Peter Cushing and Doctor Who. But that’s not all as they have one more guest in this episode, Noah Tarnow, who talks about Big Quiz Thing, what type of questions they’ll be doing at Celebration, and they break into some general fan discussion on Marvel, DC, comics, films and the Star Wars movies. It’s kind of a lengthy discussion, and puts this episode at a few minutes shy of two hours, so be prepared for a long one. Still, they have some good guests and some good discussions.
Episode 196 begins with some TFA trailer discussion then breaks to their interview with voice actor Bob Bergen, most recognizably known for voicing Porky Pig since Mel Blanc’s passing. While Bob is not much of a storyteller, and he doesn’t share his voices, he does give out a lot of advice and insight for voice actors looking to break into the business. He also shares how he got the role of Porky Pig, how he Mel Blanc as a kid, and some of the other work he’s done.
Episode 197 has an interview with Ultimate Star Wars author Adam Bray who talks about the project, working with canon and legends, how much of Star Wars Rebels he knew about when working on the book, and his contributions. Then they interview the voice actors for the Star Wars audiobooks: January Lavoy, Marc Thompson and Jonathan Davies. They talk about working on Star Wars books, the challenges of doing audiobooks, as well as the perks. With four interviewees in this episode, it’s jam packed with Star Wars goodness and all of the interviews are top notch. Continue Reading Podcasts in Review…

I noticed this entry last week on edelweiss however I didn’t know all the details until I listened to Rebels Declassified – Empire Day which features guests Adam Bray and Tricia Barr. There Adam and Tricia revealed that they both worked on an upcoming DK book called Ultimate Star Wars: The Definitive Guide to the Star Wars Universe. While this is the third Star Wars book for Adam Bray, this will be Tricia Barr’s first Star Wars book, and here at Roqoo Depot, we wish Tricia a congratulations! She’s now part of canon.
As the above image shows, Ultimate Star Wars will be out in April 2015. While it only shows the author as Ryder Windham, the book also includes the before mentioned Adam Bray and Tricia Barr, along with longtime Star Wars author Dan Wallace.
