In the headlines this week, there’s a new petition out there against Disney, but hey, this time it’s not by Star Wars fans. It would seem there are some questionable Avengers shirts being merchandised towards boys and girls. At the top of the headlines, the first special of LEGO’s The Yoda Chronicles will air May 29 on Cartoon Network and Teletoon at 6:30 PM EST. (via Star Wars The Underworld)

In movie news this week, the 1988 film Willow was released in blu-ray for the first time. The film stars Warwick Davis and Val Kilmer, was directed by Ron Howard, and based on a story by George Lucas. If you look closely while watching the film, you might also spot Kenny Baker (R2-D2) as a Nelwyn musician.

Kick-Ass 2 has a red band trailer out now courtesy of MTV. The release date is now set for August 16th.

If you’re near Roanoke, VA this weekend, be sure to stop by SheVaCon. Star Wars author Aaron Allston will be there and to maximize your Allston experience, Aaron has posted his full schedule here.

With all the rumors going about on who will be starring in the Star Wars spinoff films, author Timothy Zahn weighed in with Hollywood.com. He also talked a little about Scoundrels. You can find the full interview here.

Also in interview news, Corinna Bechko and Gabriel Hardman, the creators behind the upcoming Legacy comics, spoke with Geek of Oz on Legacy: Prisoner of the Floating World. They give some hints on what readers can expect from the new ongoing series as well as talking about Ania Solo and her mysterious heritage. It’s definitely worth checking out.

In other news, Tom Taylor killed Lois Lane while a helpless Superman looked on. If you haven’t been following Injustice: Gods Among Us, you can catch up here. IGN interviewed Tom to get his opinions on killing Lois Lane, torturing Superman, and blowing up Metropolis. Hmm, maybe Tom’s threat to build superweapons wasn’t just a jest after all.

The Who song “Pinball Wizard” may take on a new meaning now that Star Wars is getting a pinball game. Just announced this week, Star Wars Pinball will be launching this month as downloadable content for several platforms. The game will kick off with pinball tables modeled after Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back, Boba Fett, and Star Wars: The Clone Wars. There are also seven more themes in production and will all be announced this year.

Let’s kick things off with some Star Wars Celebration Europe news. Warwick Davis has been announced as Star Wars Celebration Europe’s celebrity host. If you needed any further proof just how awesome Ewoks are, look no further.

In other convention news, Ashley Eckstein will be heading to C2E2. Star Wars comic writer Brian Wood, and cover artist Alex Ross will also be there. C2E2 will be held from April 26-28 this year in Chicago.
