Of Limited Loyalty is the second book in Michael A. Stackpole’s Crown Colonies series. If you’ve read my review of the first book, At the Queen’s Command, you know that I was extremely impressed with it, and the book was about as close to a masterpiece as you could get. Having read the sequel, I’ll break my review down into several parts covering the book by itself, how it compares to it’s predecessor, and how the series is playing out as a whole.

Of Limited Loyalty Gets a Cover

Of Limited Loyalty is the second novel in Michael A. Stackpole’s colonial-fantasy series The Crown Colonies. The 352 page over sized paperback will be released on December 6, 2011 by Night Shade Books. You can pre-order it here on Amazon or here on Barnes & Noble.
Once again, the cover blends together a classical military painting with a noticeable touch of fantasy. Makes you wonder what the Revolutionary War would have been like if George Washington had a dragon. I personally can’t wait to see how this fantastic series continues.
If you haven’t read the first book in the series, At the Queen’s Command, I highly recommend checking it out.
