I don’t know who thought this was a good idea, but The Guardian reports that Michael Bay is doing a remake of the Hitchcock classic, The Birds. Rumor is that Naomi Watts is up for the Tippi Hedren role.
…the film will be directed by the Dutch film-maker Diederik Van Rooijen, with Bay serving as a co-producer. The film looks set to be a co-production between Mandalay Pictures, Universal and Bay’s Platinum Dunes production house. It remains to be seen whether the birds will be giant, man-eating birds, or possibly armed with guns.
Remember the classic gas station scene? I don’t even want to think about it.

Transformers: Dark of the Moon, in typical Transformers fashion, is jammed with action-packed robot fighting and in-your-face comedy. Though definitely a step up from the over-done second installment in the Michael Bay directed trilogy, the film fails to live up to the first Transformers movie.
