Comic Book Resources has an interview with Matt Kindt who talks about his upcoming Star Wars mini-series Rebel Heist. The four issue series will be launching in April and published by Dark Horse Comics. The series will feature artwork by Marco Castiello (who was a penciller for Knight Errant: Escape and Purge: The Tyrant’s Fist).
Matt had some interesting things to say about the new series, including the fact that he said ‘no’ at first.
I got myself into such a busy schedule this summer, so I told them no. Then, the next day, I was taking a shower or something, and I just had an idea. “That’s what I could do!” I wasn’t trying to think of an idea for it; an idea just popped into my head. So I called them back the next day. “If it can’t be this, I don’t know if I have time to think of another thing.” They were really great about it.

Details on ‘Halo: Initiation #1’
April 26, 2013 at 10:11 am | Posted in Art, Comic Books, Dark Horse | Leave a commentTags: halo initiation, marco castiello
As announced earlier this week, Dark Horse Comics is going to do a Halo comic mini-series called Halo: Initiation. The series will be written by Brian Reed and the art will be done by Marco Castiello, who pencilled Knight Errant: Escape and Purge: The Tyrant’s Fist.
Before she was a supersoldier defending humanity as part of the Spartan-IV program, Sarah Palmer was an ODST—Orbital Drop Shock Trooper—carrying out the most dangerous missions behind enemy lines! See how she became the first Spartan-IV commander in this must-read series for fans of Halo 4 and the Halo franchise!
“It’s really exciting to work with Dark Horse in continuing the Halo story in comics. After Halo 4 and Spartan Ops, fans wanted to know more about the origins of the Spartan-IV program and Sarah Palmer in particular. So it’s great fun to be able to grant those wishes with a partner like Dark Horse.” -Brian Reed
Halo: Initiation #1 will be out August 14th. You can check out a preview of the interior art on Wired.com which looks pretty good.

‘Knight Errant: Escape’ gets Inked
July 20, 2012 at 8:12 am | Posted in Art, Comic Books, Dark Horse | Leave a commentTags: andrea chella, escape, knight errant, marco castiello, vincenzo acunzo
Vincenzo Acunzo is the inker for Knight Errant: Escape and he’s been posting some pretty cool images of the inked pages. I think it’s always neat seeing the different stages of comic book art, be it the penciled drafts, the inked art, or the fully colored imagery. There just something about the stark black and white images that catches the eye.
The following images were penciled by Marco Castiello and Andrea Chella, with the inks by Vincenzo Acunzo.
