Here is this week’s Podcasts in Review.
501stCast: Episode 94 covers news, their thoughts on the Rogue One trailer which is kind of funny since they do it from an Imperial viewpoint, troop reports including a visit to the White House, upcoming events and more.
Aggressive Negotiations: Issue 010 goes back to Legends as they talk about EU books that are still worth reading, touching on different eras, and their favorites. Excellent episode for fans who want to get an idea of which books they should try out. They even touch on some of their favorite canon comics and novels.
Aggressive Negotiations: Issue 011 discusses lightsabers. From the light side to the dark side, their favorites, the colors, creating them and more. Nice discussion.
Aggressive Negotiations: Issue 012 goes over The Force Awakens Blu-ray special features and how low it compares to other special features. I have to agree, the special features for TFA were nothing to gloat about and were pretty disappointing. Continue Reading Podcasts in Review…

Here is this week’s Podcasts in Review.
Bombad Radio: Episode 206 covers D23 Expo and all the Star Wars things that were there and the experience in general as Steve was there and he’s one of the special guests for the episode. They also talk about Disney Infinity 3.0, Kingdom of Hearts, Star Wars: Battlefront, Rogue One news, Star Wars Land, the Avatar land stuff, and Toy Story Land. Good episode to round out your D23 dosage.
Coffee With Kenobi: Coffee Chat with Dennis Keithly is an interesting episode as they focus on their earliest memories of Star Wars, seeing the films for the first time, seeing the special editions, and finally the prequels. It’s a pretty intriguing discussion, worth checking out.
Comics With Kenobi: Episode #5 reviews Kanan #5, Star Wars #8, Darth Vader #8, Lando #2 and Lando #3 with lots of interesting viewpoints. If you’re looking for Star Wars comics discussion, these guys have it in bucket fulls. It’s funny though whenever I hear viewpoints that are completely contrary to my own as I have to remind myself that Star Wars fans are a very devise group, and I, by no means, fall into the norm. Lots of in depth discussion but also lots of spoilers, so fair warning. Continue Reading Podcasts in Review…

Book News
- For horror fans, you might be familiar with the Australian horror flick Wolf Creek. Not only is the movie getting a sequel in February, but a book series as well. Penguin Books will be releasing Wolf Creek: Origin February 1st, a prequel to the original film. The book will be by authors Greg Mclean and Aaron Sterns who are also the writers of the films. Alongside that will be Wolf Creek: Desolation Game by Greg Mclean and Brett McBean. Like Origin, it’s a prequel novel. Both are being published over in Australia so I’m not sure when they’ll be available elsewhere, however Amazon does have a US eBook listing for Origin and Desolation Game with a January 2nd release.
- Jason Fry did a nice Q&A for a young fan. In his letter, he included a mention for three new Star Wars books he’s got coming out and one that’s on hold.
- Martha Wells has a nice year end wrap-up post for fans wanting to make sure they didn’t miss out on anything.
- Paul S. Kemp talked a little about The Godborn and Egil & Nix over on Fantasy Book Critic.
- Plus an update on The Sentinel by Troy Denning, “Just finished proofreading the galleys for my Sundering novel, THE SENTINEL (due out in April). Boy, it’s fun to be in the Realms again!”
- Kevin J. Anderson is also holding a bad joke contest for his Dan Shamble, Zombie PI character McGoo on Facebook.
