For Star Wars fans looking forward to John Jackson Miller’s Kenobi, Star Wars Insider #143 has a nice treat: the short story “Incognito.” Set during the events of Revenge of the Sith (during Obi-Wan’s trip to Tatooine) and including three new illustrations by artist Chris Scalf, “Incognito” is a fun little story that acts as a great teaser for Kenobi.

On Jedi Journals July episode, Del Rey Senior Production Manager Erich Schoeneweiss revealed that Star Wars Insider 143 will include a new short story by author John Jackson Miller. It will be an Obi-Wan story that ties into John’s upcoming novel Kenobi. The time frame for the story is set within Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith and will include three original illustrations by Chris Scalf who did the promo art for Kenobi.

As recently announced at New York Comic Con, John Jackson Miller will be writing a new Star Wars hardcover entitled Kenobi. Alongside the announcement was a piece of promotional art by artist Chris Scalf (whose worked on projects like Star Wars: Invasion, Star Wars: Blood Ties, and Star Wars: The Essential Reader’s Companion). Chris has posted the original art as well as a case study for Ewan McGregor on his deviantart page with some additional information on the making of the piece.

It’s been announced that Star Wars artist Chris Scalf will not be able to make it to Star Wars Celebration VI due to an illness in the family. We wish Chris the best and hope everything goes well for his family member.
Dark Horse Editor Randy Stradley has said that they will be adding a Dave Filoni signing which will be Thursday from 3:00-4:00 PM.

Tricia Barr at FANgirl Blog got the chance to talk with Star Wars author Aaron Allston about X-Wing pilot, Antarian Ranger and Jedi Knight Tyria Sarkin Tainer.
