Timothy Zahn’s Choices of One is out again, this time in paperback. If you haven’t picked up the book yet, now is as good a time as any. The paperback version includes the new cover designed by Daryl Mandryk.

Timothy Zahn Signing in Orlando, Florida

Star Wars author Timothy Zahn will be at Disney’s Hollywood Studios today in Orlando Florida. If you’re in the area, you can stop by the Writer’s Stop from 1:00-3:00 PM and get Zahn’s autograph. Tim will be signing copies of Star Wars: Choices of One. And while you’re there, you can check out Star Tours, too.

Timothy Zahn Live Facebook Chat

Star Wars Books announced yesterday on Facebook that they will be conducting a live Facebook chat with Star Wars author Timothy Zahn on September 28 at 3:00 PM EDT (2:00 PM CDT). This chat will be focusing on Heir to the Empire 20th Anniversary Edition and Choices of One.

As usual the live chat will be conducted on Star Wars Books Facebook page. A new post will be created for the live chat shortly before the start time and the live chats generally last about an hour. The Facebook chats are conducted via comments and the authors do their best to answer all the questions the fans post. Remember to always put *** spoiler *** before any questions that might spoil something from recently released novels. Also keep in mind that typically several questions will be asked at once, so try and give Mr. Zahn some time to reply to the questions before asking new ones. The refresh button is your friend.

In keeping with their practice of releasing extended excerpts of select works, Del Rey has released the first fifty pages of Star Wars: Choices of One by Timothy Zahn today. You can read the except at Scribd.com.

Our own Skuldren reviewed Mr. Zahn’s latest offering just last week. That review can be read by clicking here. Timothy Zahn is a veteran Star Wars author who has now written eight total works for the SWEU including six that feature Grand Admiral Thrawn as the main character. The original Thrawn Trilogy was credited with rejuvenating the Star Wars literary world in the early 90s after some years of waning interest from the fandom.

Today Choices of One hits stores. Written by Star Wars author Timothy Zahn, Choices of One comes in at 384 pages and is in hardback format.

The fate of the Rebellion rests on Luke Skywalker’s next move.
But have the rebels entered a safe harbor or a death trap?

Eight months after the Battle of Yavin, the Rebellion is in desperate need of a new base. So when Governor Ferrouz of Candoras Sector proposes an alliance, offering the Rebels sanctuary in return for protection against the alien warlord Nuso Esva, Luke, Leia, Han, and Chewie are sent to evaluate the deal.

Mara Jade, the Emperor’s Hand, is also heading for Candoras, along with the five renegade stormtroopers known as the Hand of Judgment. Their mission: to punish Ferrouz’s treason and smash the Rebels for good.

But in this treacherous game of betrayals within betrayals, a wild card is waiting to be played.

Tomorrow Timothy Zahn’s latest Star Wars novel Choices of One comes out and to kick things off, he’ll be stopping across the country with a book tour from July 19th-27th. Zahn will be available for signings of his new book as well as promoting the upcoming Heir to the Empire 20th Anniversary edition with special bookplates.
