C2E2 kicks off today. The Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo will include a few Star Wars guests such as Ashley Eckstein, Daniel Logan, Alex Ross, Brian Wood, Chris Alexander, Jeffrey Brown, Stephane Roux and Dave Dorman. You can check out all the details here. Dark Horse Comics will be at booth #801. On Saturday at 2:00 PM there will be a Star Wars/Conan/The Massive signing with Brian Wood with free prints from The Massive at the Dark Horse booth. There will also be a Spotlight on Brian Wood panel at 12:15 p.m. in room W471 on Saturday.

Let’s kick things off with some Star Wars Celebration Europe news. Warwick Davis has been announced as Star Wars Celebration Europe’s celebrity host. If you needed any further proof just how awesome Ewoks are, look no further.

In other convention news, Ashley Eckstein will be heading to C2E2. Star Wars comic writer Brian Wood, and cover artist Alex Ross will also be there. C2E2 will be held from April 26-28 this year in Chicago.

C2E2 is such a big event we couldn’t possibly do justice to the whole shebang.  Suffice to say it’s chock full of special guests (C-Threepio!), comic creators (Dark Horse), authors (Anne Rice) and artists (Dave Dorman).  C2E2 runs April 13 – 15 so if you’re anywhere near Chicago join the Monsters Ball, check out the exhibits and own personal favorites.

Update on C2E2 news: Dark Horse Comics.

Darth Vader and the Lost Command will be collected as a hardcover.

Crimson Empire III will take place two years after Crimson Empire II.

New series, Agents of the Empire.  Think James Bonds meet Star Wars.

Ostrander and Duursema working on new untitled series.

Ostrander — Lucas says no Quinlan Vos comic stories for now.
