Newsarama Interview with Tom Taylor
April 30, 2012 at 8:47 am | Posted in Comic Books, Dark Horse, Interview, Star Wars News | Leave a commentTags: blood ties, boba fett is dead, tom taylor
Newsarama did an interview last Friday with comic writer Tom Taylor covering the recent release of Blood Ties: Boba Fett is Dead #1. They talk about Fett’s family, revenge, westerns, and I really liked the last answer Tom gave in the interview. It’s worth checking out.
It says it all in the title: “Boba Fett Is Dead”. How did it happen, and where does that lead this story?
Tom Taylor: For starters, the most infamous bounty hunter in the galaxy isn’t the most universally-loved guy. Boba Fett probably doesn’t receive a lot of holocards on Valentines Day, he probably has a quiet one with the Sarlacc pit.
If you leave that many bodies behind and cause that much pain, eventually you’re going to find someone with the money and resources to take revenge, and that’s exactly how our story begins, not with a whimper but with a bang… a lot of bangs. Well, not ‘bangs’… blasters don’t go bang. More ‘Choom!’ ‘Choom!’‘Fwwooom’ and ‘Agghhh, I needed that limb!’ ‘Rrrrrrrnnnn… Thud!’

Zombie Fett? Tom Taylor Talks with CNN
April 26, 2012 at 8:39 am | Posted in Comic Books, Dark Horse, Interview, Star Wars News | Leave a commentTags: blood ties, boba fett is dead, tom taylor
Tom Taylor is still making the rounds for Blood Ties: Boba Fett is Dead #1. CNN posted this interview earlier in the week covering Boba Fett,Tom and Daniel Logan’s Twitter war, the possibility of a zombie Fett, and a cameo by Vader.
What other Star Wars favorites, if any, will put in an appearance in this book and series?
Taylor: I can tell you that Darth Vader does make an appearance amidst a whole lot of fire and explosions. Artist Chris Scalf first came to comics prominence illustrating Vader, and it’s great to see him illustrating the Sith Lord again. There’s another smaller character, too, but I don’t want to spoil that one for the readers.
You can read the full interview here.
