Marvel has been on a role ever since Iron Man came out in 2008. After seeing Guardians of the Galaxy, a film about a bunch of characters I’ve never heard of, I thought maybe they could do no wrong. As Phase 2 started with the critical and commercially successful Iron Man 3 – and many are anxious for the follow up to Joss Whedon’s The Avengers – Marvel has already begun plans for the eventual Phase 3. Marvel Studios has scheduled two upcoming and as-of-yet untitled Marvel movies for Phase 3, which will join the already announced Ant-Man film.
Furthermore, as production begins on Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, it has just been announced that actor John C Reilly has been cast as Rhomann Dey, who is reportedly the leader of Nova Corps. Reilly is only the most recent addition to the cast that includes ChrisPratt, Zoe Saldana, Karen Gillan, and Glenn Close.
Guardians of the Galaxy is due out August 1st, 2014.
