The trap has been sprung, kind of. We also get backstories for our characters. But of course things don’t go as planned.

There’s a nice mix of action and backstory in this one as we see some of the characters dies, but we get a glimpse of why they’re in this fight. Vader stands toe-to-toe with them, and Valance gets his shot. But the vengeful, cocky Valance doesn’t see everything that’s in play. There’s a nice turn in the story, but there’s not much to go on from here. What will happen in the next two issues?

The artwork is pretty good in this one. There’s good detail, linework and coloring. The action is easy to follow and the character’s emotions really stand out. It’s great visual storytelling.

With good artwork and a good story, I give this one a four out of five metal bikinis. I’m looking forward to where this goes next.
