Tag & Bink Were Here collects Star Wars: Tag & Bink Are Dead #1 and #2, Star Wars: Tag & Bink II #1 (aka The Return of Tag & Bink: Special Edition) and #2 (The Return of Tag & Bink – Revenge of the Clone Menace), and their story from Star Wars Tales #12, which were all original published by Dark Horse Comics. This Marvel reprint comes in at 108 pages and just $7.99 which is a price point that’s hard to beat. It’s not your traditional trade paperback binding, but sort of a hybrid between a normal floppy and TPB. It combines the typical fold over cover and staple binding of a traditional floppy, but with a more premium thick card stock cover. The dimensions are also the same as a normal comic, so all of that helps keep the price point low.

For collectors, you may not need to pick up this issue at all since Dark Horse already released a Tag & Bink Were Here TPB back in 2006. However, if you don’t have that one in your collection, and you don’t have the individual issues, then this one is definitely worth getting.

For those who have never read the Tag & Bink comics, they’re a lot of fun. The artwork is good, and the writing is witty with lots of humor and some good ties to the movies. The story follows two characters named Tag and Bink. They start off as Rebel troopers on the Tantive IV, wind up as stormtroopers, escape the Death Star, help save Han from Jabba the Hutt, and wind up on Endor for the Ewok party. From there, their adventures flashback to their childhoods which crisscrosses the prequels. Honestly I think the prequel stories are even funnier than the original trilogy ones.

With great artwork and a great story, I give Tag & Bink Where Here a five out of five metal bikinis.
