Star Wars Adventures #8 starts with the second part of the “Endangered” story. The Star Wars Rebels crew deals with a bunch of dangerous animals, stormtroopers, and Hondo Ohnaka. It’s a balancing act as they try to stay out of the claws and teeth of the creatures, and keep from being shot by a stormtrooper. All the while, they also have to prevent Hondo from stealing the bird they want. It makes for a fun story. And I really like the artwork of the creatures.

Afterwards, Otis Frampton delivers the coup de grâce with a Jawa story. Actually, it’s a love story…but between a Jawa and a power droid. It’s cute, it’s fun, and it’s got a good message. Plus he knocks it out of the park with his artwork. Seriously. IDW should have an on-going Jawa comic by Otis. It would be great AND it would sell. People would love it. For now, we’ll all have to contend with this tease of what could be, but it’s still a great little story.

With both stories in this issue scoring top marks for fun and artwork, I give this issue a five out of five metal bikinis. Whether you’ve been reading the Star Wars Adventures issues or not, this one is worth checking out for all ages.
