Star Wars Adventures #22 packs in two tails, one a little adventure on a planet called Nothoiin starring Leia, and the other a story about a special tauntaun.

In the first story, “A Matter of Perception”, Leia, C-3PO and R2-D2 scout out a planet where some stormtroopers where spotted. At first look, Leia can’t find them, and instead they find a young Aleena who steals some of their stuff. Leia chases the Aleena down and instead finds the stormtroopers, which leads to an unsuspecting twist in the story. Not a bad story, but the artwork isn’t the best. It’s good, but the coloring is a little plain.

The other story is “A Tauntaun Tail.” In this story, a Rebel trooper on Hoth comes across a tauntaun with an unusually long tail. The tauntaun is picked on by the other tauntauns, and the trooper winds up taking the special tauntaun back to base and training it. The long tail comes in handy in combat, and the two of them survive the battle of Hoth. It’s a positive message about being special and triumphing over bullying. Plus the artwork is pretty good with nice coloring.

All in all, two nice stories. I give this one a four out of five baby nexus.
