Despite the forces of the Galactic Triumvirate and his fellow Imperial Knights coming to his aid to defeat Sith Lord Darth Luft, Jao Assam has decided to break with the Knights and, along with Ania Solo, continue the pursuit of the Sith outcast Darth Wredd. Jao has foreseen that Wredd poses a danger to Empress Marasiah Fel that cannot be ignored—though that is thecourse the Triumvirate has chosen.

Joining them on the hunt are Ania’s old friends, the Mon Calamari Sauk and assassin droid AG-37. Ania Solo has come a long way from being an obscure junk dealer in a remote corner of the galaxy.  But unbeknownst to her, Ania’s past is about to catch up with her . . .

The Plot: With the opener to this issue we find out that a bounty hunter is hunting for Ania.  Meanwhile, after trying to navigate through a minefield, Ania and the gang land on a planet where Ania unsuccessfully tries to get some funds by riding some kind of wild beast.  This is pretty much just to set up the reveal that Ania is wanted for murdering an Imperial Knight, which  explains why the bounty hunter is after her.  It’s unknown what this is all about since Jao is the first IK she’s ever met and he’s pretty much still alive, and she hasn’t killed any other IK since she met him.  The gang decides it’s best to get back in the ship and dust of the planet, but Jao confronts Ania about why she was hiding out in the Carreras System.  Ania’s about to tell him when they’re distracted by a problem with the ship.  Right about then they discover a derelict ship with the crew still onboard and alive.  Going over to the ship to rescue the crew, Ania runs into an old acquaintance, Ramid, who she must’ve known pretty well since the first thing they do is kiss.  Everything seems friendly enough and Jao and Sauk start to go off to get parts to fix the ship, although they are suspicious.  Ramid pulls Ania aside to talk to her, but instead he locks Jao and Sauk out, detaches his ship, and takes off with Ania.  Two of Ramid’s crewmembers overpower Ania while Ramid tells her he’s sorry.  While it appears Ania’s been kidnapped, Jao isn’t so sure.

The Good:  The bounty on Ania for murdering an Imperial Knight was a definite interesting surprise.  The instant kiss between old “friends” was a treat since Ania’s been pretty much nothing but a tough girl so far.  It was nice to see there’s another side to her and an interesting past.  Also the kidnapping at the end was a neat twist.

The Iffy: Really not much iffy about this issue.  Ania trying to break a wild beast seemed a bit silly, but it served a purpose and I can get over it.

The Bad: The only bad thing is the thought that after 2014 we won’t be getting any more Ania Solo, her friends and her adventures.  Makes me sad.

Conclusion: All in all some nice intriguing plot lines tossed out in this issue.  Lots of possibilities could result from this issue.  A good, solid addition to Ania Solo’s story.

I give Legacy 2 #11 four metal bikinis.
