Negative Space #3

Negative Space #3

Writer: Ryan K. Lindsay
Letterer: Ryan Ferrier
Artist/Cover Artist: Owen Gieni

Negative Space #3 is another gem in comic book storytelling. Ryan K. Lindsay shows that comics can reach a higher standard as this deep, emotional tale touches on the human character and reaches toward triumph. Owen Gieni makes the dream come true with his stunning artwork. From gorgeous panels to a soul warming story, this comic is what others only hope of obtaining.

In this leg of the journey, Guy travels through the museum of despair at the bottom of the sea. Through the adventure, he finds an object that reminds him of his past and opens the door to happiness. It’s just what they’ve been looking for – the charge for the happiness bomb. With the bomb not set and ready, the explosion changes everything. What was once a world of despair now becomes a place of retribution.

The story is honestly on high gear as Lindsay doesn’t miss a beat. Each issue has built up to an even greater story, and this one is no different. The dialog, the plot development, the characters and the world building are all top notch. It’s perfect storytelling.

Combine the flawless storytelling with the gorgeous art, and you’ve got a comic that’s hard to beat. Gieni pumps out some wonderful panels. The art style is both unique and intriguing. The coloring is lucious. It’s great.

With a story and artwork this good, Negative Space #3 is at the top of it’s class. This is comics at its finest. I give it a five out of five metal bikinis.
