Honestly when forced to choose three random comics off a shelf for free, the first thing that caught my attention was the cover of this one. The prominent reptilian in body armor caught my eye. A quick flip through the interior looked promising so I snagged it.

The artwork inside is kinda neat. There’s dinos in Mass Effect armor wielding lightsabers against robots. If you need a tagline, that’s the one to run with. The dinos also wield blasters and speak English. The story was a little confusing at first as they use a lot of action. The T-Rex character is in some kind of simulation combat while another dino is in a control room simultaneously dealing with some sort of computer breach. Unfortunately it relied a little too much on the action and not enough on compelling story or characters. At only 5 pages in length, this Free Comic Book Day offering wasn’t enough to get me interested in reading more. Too much action, not enough plot intrigue, and it was lacking a little in finesse and polish.

I give it a 2 out of 5 metal bikinis.
