Injustice Gods Among Us: Year Three #10 is a whole lot of fighting but not much else. Batman, Constantine and crew escape Superman only to be thrown right back into the fray. Mr. Mxyzptlk spends the whole issue fighting Trigon in a stalemate of titans. Meanwhile, Swamp Thing shows up and changes the odds. It’s one battle after another.

The book opens and reveals who the big headed guy in the purple suit is. I’m certainly thankful for that one as I had no clue who he was. Turns out he’s some kind of magic user who likes pranking Superman and he has taken the man of steel’s side in order to preserve his ability to do so in the future. Unfortunately he doesn’t seem to be able to defeat Trigon.

Batman and company continue to fight Superman and his team of allies with little change. Swamp Thing shows up but only turns the tide momentarily. Between all the punching and kicking, there’s some smack talk and a few amusing lines. The artwork is pretty good throughout, though the opening art is better than the finishing art.

All in all, it’s enjoyable, but the story takes a backseat to the action and the storytelling suffers for it. I give it a three and half metal bikinis out of five.
