While StarWars.com did provide a liveblog, it didn’t quite satiate my appetite. Thankfully there was more coverage provided by those in attendance via Twitter, including Caravan of the Force, Mark Newbold from Jedi News, TheForce.Net and The Star Wars Underworld. Here’s a recap of their coverage.

And here is this week’s news…
Conventions
Author Michael A. Stackpole is holding a contest for two free four day passes to Gencon which is being held in Indianapolis, IN from August 15-18th. To enter, all you have to do is take a picture of yourself reading a Michael Stackpole book. We’re pretty sure your chances of winning will be increased if you do so in complete Rebel pilot garb.
In other convention news, Caravan of the Force has recaps of their journey to Star Wars Celebration Europe II up on the Star Wars Blog: Day 1, Day 2 and Day 3, Day 4, Day 5.
A lot of news has been pouring out of CEII today, and we’ll have a rundown later on, so stay tuned. In the meantime, we recommend checking out Jedi News for extensive coverage.
Books
If you’re in Houston, TX today, be sure to swing by Murder by the Book because upcoming Star Wars author Martha Wells will be there for a book signing at 6:30 PM.
Tomorrow upcoming Star Wars author Kevin Hearne will be at Murder by the Book for a signing as well. It will be at 4:30 PM.

ForceCast: Special CEII Artist Interviews Episode four has Spencer speaking with JAKe, Matt Busch and Paul Allan Ballard. All three interviews turned out really good and are definitely worth listening to. Plenty of insights into the artists and their pieces for Star Wars Celebration II.
Full of Sith: Episode XXXI is a short episode but has some nice interviews by Bryan from San Diego Comic Con 2013. He talks with Tommy Yune about Robotech and its influences, TC Carson and his work as Mace Windu in The Clone Wars, Stephen Stanton and his work as Tarkin and others in The Clone Wars, and finally Erich Schoeneweiss from Del Rey. Erich was my favorite interview as he talks about each of the Star Wars books coming up, giving a glimpse of what each will be bringing to readers, although he had to skirt around the future of Star Wars books as they don’t know what that holds yet. However, he did say that Del Rey has had numerous emails and several face-to-face meetings with Lucasfilm regarding the sequels. Continue Reading Podcasts in Review…
