Here is this week’s Around the Web news roundup of Star Wars and beyond.

Book News

  • Polygon has an interview with author Justina Ireland touching on her upcoming book for The High Republic.

Comic News

Fandom News

  • Media registration and podcast stage application are now open for Star Wars Celebration Anaheim. Media has until June 24th to apply, podcasters have until April 17th.
  • E3 2020 has been cancelled due to concerns with the COVID-19 virus. The gaming convention was scheduled to happen in June in Los Angeles.
  • Also amid the concerns of COVID-19, WonderCon has been delayed. It was set to take place April 10 to 12th in Anaheim. The new date has not yet been revealed.
  • Emerald City Comic Con is not cancelling or delaying, but they are offering full refunds for those who no longer wish to attend. That con is taking place this weekend (12 to 15th).
  • If you’re looking to kill some time, you can watch comic artist Will Sliney play Battlefront as Kylo Ren and draw Kylo Ren. Kind of a neat way to combine the two.

  • Disney Parks shows off Galaxy’s Edge and the people behind it.

  • Clone Wars Download for “On the Wings of Keeradaks”.

  • Star Wars posted a little video for International Women’s Day.

Movie & Television News

  • The trailer for Blood Quantum is out and it doesn’t look too bad. It’s a Canadian zombie movie which will be out in Canada on March 27th with some US dates later and then off to streaming.

  • Uncorked will hit Netflix on March 27th.

  • Sea Fever will have a limited US release on April 10 and will hit video on demand.

  • No release info on this one yet, but Psycho Goreman looks like a ridiculous movie that might be a lot of fun.

  • Arkansas looks like it might be pretty good. It’ll be out in select theaters on May 1st and video on demand.

  • The Quarry also might be promising. It’ll be out April 17 in some theaters and video on demand.

  • And then there’s Antebellum which looks really good. It’ll be out April 24th.
