Here is this week’s Around the Web news roundup of Star Wars and beyond.

Book News

  • Timothy Zahn will be writing a Thrawn trilogy called the Ascendancy Trilogy which will kick off May 2020. “Journey into the Unknown Regions and learn the origins of Thrawn and his home of the Chiss Ascendancy. Set before Thrawn traveled to the Empire and became a Grand Admiral.”
  • The Rise of Skywalker novelization will be written by Rae Carson. That will be out March 2020.
  • Shadow Fall will come out June 2020. That will be the second book in the Alphabet Squadron trilogy by Alexander Freed.
  • Star Wars: Dark Legends will be a follow-up to Star Wars: Myths & Fables by George Mann (featuring artwork by Grant Griffin).
  • Project Luminous details will be revealed “early 2020”.

Comic News

  • StarWars.com has a preview of Return to Vader’s Castle #3.
  • The main Marvel Star Wars comic will be starting up again next year with Charles Soule taking over the writing duties. That will begin in January.
  • Greg Pak will be writing a new Darth Vader series which will begin in February.
  • The Doctor Aphra series will also be returning next year.

Fandom News

  • New episode of Galactic Builders as they visit Galaxy’s Edge.

  • And here’s the latest episode of The Star Wars Show.

Movie & Television News

  • The trailer for Rattlesnake looks like it might be worth a watch. It’ll hit Netflix on October 25th.

  • The Turning continues the trend of releasing horror movies during winter time. While it’s not really the best time of year for horror, this one looks interesting.

  • The Pennsylvania Star Wars Collecting Society is selling Commander Wolffe medallions in support of Wolf Awareness Day and The Wolf Sanctuary of PA. Click here to check out the details.
