Max Reebo’s Pick of the Week: “Revival”

Max Reebo’s pick this week is “Revival” by Thundermother.

Thundermother is a Swedish rock band out of Växjö (which calls itself the greenest city in Europe). They were founded in 2009 by Filippa Nässil and have had a varying lineup since then. The steady members of the band split in 2017, with two albums under the belts and in the middle of a tour. Filippa re-formed the band with her on guitar still, Guernica Mancini on vocals, Sara Pettersson on bass, and Emelie Johansson on drums. In 2018 they released their self-titled album Thundermother which includes the song “Revival”.

“Revival” is a rock song with some AC/DC sounding riffs that just catches my ear. I love it. There’s some good songs on the album, but another one in particular worth checking out is “Survival Song”.
