Convention & Event News

Star Wars Celebration tickets are on sale and some are selling out (VIP is sold out, 5 day tickets are sold out). However, since Thursday is a preview day only (no stage programming) you might be better off with a four day stay anyway. Hotels are going fast through the official website, but you might have some luck trying the hotel sites directly.

• Origins is June 13 to 17 in Columbus, OH. Star Wars guests include Timothy Zahn.
• All*Star Comic Con is June 15 to 17 in Tysons Corner, VA. Star Wars guests include Jason Aaron, John Jackson Miller, and Brian Muir.
• Westercon is July 4 in Denver, CO. Star Wars guests include Kevin J. Anderson.
• Bell County Comic Con is August 3 to 5 in Belton, TX. Star Wars guests include Timothy Zahn.
• Tampa Bay Comic Con is August 3 to 6 in Tampa Bay, FL. Star Wars guests include Kevin J. Anderson.
• Dragon Con is August 30 to September 3 in Atlanta, GA. Star Wars guests include Kevin J. Anderson.
• FanX is September 6 to 8 in Salt Lake City, UT. Star Wars guests include Tim Curry, Delilah S. Dawson, Kevin Hearne, Paul Reubens, and Brent Spiner.
• Star Wars Celebration 2019 is April 11 to 15 in Chicago, IL.

Fandom News

• Clone Wars Conversations Episode 14 is out and features Amy Ratcliffe interviewing James Arnold Taylor.

• Here’s the latest episode of The Star Wars Show.

• DisneyD23 put out a neat little video showcasing the toys of The Star Wars Show, and Andi Gutierrez.

• Jedi News has an interview with Solo stuntman Jason Curle.
• “Designing Solo: A Star Wars Story Part 3” is up on the official site.

Movie & Television News

• The trailer for Wreck-It Ralph 2 is out.

• Teaser trailer for The LEGO Movie 2.

• The Bad Times at the El Royale looks interesting. It’ll be out in October.

• There’s a new Matthew McConaughey movie called Serenity which will be out October.

• Matthew McConaughey is also going to be in White Boy Rick, though not in the leading role. This drug movie has an interesting retro vibe. Might turn out to be a good one. It’ll be out in September.

• Suspiria looks really creepy. It’s a remake of a 1977 movie which I’ve never seen, but this one oddly has a very retro feel to it. It’ll be out in November.

• Widows is a very different take on a heist movie, and it looks interesting. It’ll be out in November.

• If you remember the movie The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, it was based on a book series called Millennium. The author died, however the series is continuing, and the first new book in that series is The Girl in the Spider’s Web, which is getting a movie. Here’s the trailer. It’ll be out in November.

• Robert Redford is doing a bank robber movie called The Old Man & The Gun. It’ll be out in September.

• The full trailer for Mortal Engines is out.

• Oscar Isaac is in a Nazi hunter movie called Operation Finale. It’ll be out in September.

• I can’t believe they’re making Transformer spin off movies but…yeah, Bumblebee.

Toy & Collectible News

• Hasbro revealed their SDCC exclusive, a Dr. Aphra Comic Set.
• The 6 inch Black Series General Veers has been revealed.
• Gentle Giant revealed their SDCC exclusive, a Jumbo Kenner Boba Fett.
• Pre-orders are up for the Hot Toys Mimban Solo trooper.

Video Game News

• EA has released a trailer for the new Han Solo content.
