Here is this week’s Podcasts in Review.

Blast Points Podcast: Episode 99 starts with the Rian Johnson trilogy news, the live action TV show news, and they discuss what could be next for animated shows. Their main topic is the old Star Wars fan film Hardware Wars which was one of the most profitable films ever made at that time. They talk about how it came about, who was in it, how it was released, how it ties into Poggle the Lesser, and they watch it and provide a commentary.

Podcast Network: N/A, Runtime: 56 minutes, Rating: Fun

Blast Points Podcast: Episode 100 celebrates their 100th episode by watching all six Star Wars movies at once via the overlay video which, if you haven’t checked it out, is pretty bizarre and awesome. They sort of do a commentary for it, while also tackling listener emails and voice mails. At over 2 hours, it’s a lot of fun in one episode.

Podcast Network: N/A, Runtime: 2 hours 26 minutes, Rating: Fun

Bombad Radio: Episode 290 features an interview with author and game writer Jeff Grubb. Nice interview and a very interesting conversation that includes a lot of game designing stories.

For those who haven’t tried Brews and Blasters, it’s worth giving them a shot. The conversation often strays away from Star Wars, but it always comes back around to it, and the tangents are really fun. The hosts make this one of my favorite podcasts as its just a blast to listen to every week.
