8 For VIII: Episode VIII covers Kylo and redemption, Rey falling to the dark side, directions Rian Johnson can go and other speculation.
Podcast Network: Star Wars Commonwealth, Runtime: 14 minutes, Rating: Good
Blast Points Podcast: Episode 95 is an older episode, but I’ve finally finished From A Certain Point of View so I came back to it. They start out with news (The Last Jedi and trailer observations), then they go through every story in From A Certain Point of View with a summary and a rating. It’s not super spoilery, but it’s a little spoilery so I’d recommend checking it out after you’ve read the book. The discussion will probably resonate with you more if you read the book first. Great episode.
Podcast Network: N/A, Runtime: 1 hour 7 minutes, Rating: Great
DorkLair: Episode #13 starts with a little bit of discussion about the Praetorian guards and what their role in The Last Jedi might be. Then they review the S.H. Figuarts figure pack of the First Order Executioner, Resistance BB droid 2BB-2 and the Praetorian Guard. They cover the pros and cons of each, and this one in particular would be worth checking out before buying the figures as there are some issues with them.
Podcast Network: RetroZap, Runtime: 1 hour 31 minutes, Rating: Good
Fangirls Going Rogue: Priority Transmission #8 features Teresa, Tricia and Sarah as they share some more content from GeekGirlCon. They talk with the My Little Pony Jedi crossover cosplayers. They talk with Jordan Dene about geek clothes. They talk some about Harry Potter and bounding ideas. And they talk with Catherine Elhoffer about fashion.
Podcast Network: N/A, Runtime: 1 hour 4 minutes, Rating: Good
Fly Casual: Episode 159 includes comic reviews for Doctor Aphra #13, Poe Dameron #20, Captain Phasma #4, and Star Wars Adventures #3. They discuss Star Wars Rebels “Heroes of Mandalore” with some interesting observations. And they wrap up with rumors and speculation on Leia, Kylo, The Last Jedi poster, J.J. Abrams and Episode IX.
Podcast Network: Better Kind Media, Runtime: 1 hour 26 minutes, Rating: Good
Full of Sith: Episode CCXL features Mike, Holly and Bryan as they talk about John Mollo and his recent passing. Then they cover the first four episodes of Star Wars Rebels. Excellent discussion. My only nick pick is that Holly and Bryan’s audio is a little staticky/clippy for some reason.
Podcast Network: N/A, Runtime: 1 hour 8 minutes, Rating: Good
Full of Sith: Episode CCXLII features Mike, Holly and Bryan as they talk about the news, Holly’s Presidio tour and trip to the Rancho Obi-Wan Gala. They also talk about the Rian Johnson Star Wars trilogy news, the live action Star Wars TV Show news, and some other stuff. Good discussion, but there is still some issues with Bryan and Holly’s audio.
Podcast Network: N/A, Runtime: 1 hour 4 minutes, Rating: Good
Hyperspace PodBlast: Episode 38 covers things that could ruin The Last Jedi, which is an interesting topic for discussion. It’s not a negative episode predicting doom and gloom, but it does touch on the things they hope doesn’t happen in the movie.
Podcast Network: N/A, Runtime: 28 minutes, Rating: Good
Kanata’s Castle: Episode 18 kicks off with recent things, Rian Johnson, Billie Lourd, Star Wars Rebels, and then they get to their main discussion on Snoke. They shift through the information we know, play a clip from the audiobook of The Force Awakens novelization showing additional dialog between Snoke and Kylo and what those extra bits might mean, explore Leia’s dreams from the Aftermath trilogy, and go through the possible connections and the repetition of history. Good discussion.
Podcast Network: RetroZap, Runtime: 1 hour 16 minutes, Rating: Good
Magic on a Dollar: Episode 6 actually starts with genuine intro music. Dave covers the news, and some anniversaries which leads to some quick history recaps for Song of the South, The Little Mermaid and some other stuff. Dave also talks about the once a year hidden Mickey for Mickey’s birthday, the Fox purchase rumors, Spider-man and Sony rights, X-Men and Fox, and Dave share’s his Disney story.
Podcast Network: N/A, Runtime: 47 minutes, Rating: Good
Rebel Yell: The Occupation and Flight of the Defender features Steve, Teresa and Erich as they go over both episodes of Star Wars Rebels. I have to say, this episode gets them back on point for some excellent Star Wars Rebels discussion. They get into some really interesting topics. Definitely recommend this one.
Podcast Network: Geek Out Loud, Runtime: 1 hour 10 minutes, Rating: Great
Skywalking Through Neverland: Episode 190 starts with a recap of their Halloween, they then cover their trip to the park in San Anselmo, Lucasfilm tour and the Rancho Obi-Wan Gala, which includes lots of guests. They also touch on the Star Wars VR experience, Disney California Adventure news, and the passing of John Mollo. Overall, fun episode.

Star Wars 7×7: Episode 1225 covers Bob Iger’s earnings call and the announcement in The Star Wars Show of Rian Johnson’s new Star Wars trilogy and the Star Wars live action TV show.
Podcast Network: N/A, Runtime: 16 minutes, Rating: Good

Podcast Network: N/A, Runtime: 11 minutes, Rating: Good
Star Wars Bookworms: Episode 82 starts with a little LEGO discussion, some Star Wars Rebels, they talk Star Wars Card Trader, and then they discuss the Phasma novel. They do get into some spoilers I suppose but I’m pretty sure they didn’t spoil any of the big surprises, nor did they delve too deeply into the plot so you could probably check this one out whether you’ve read the book or not and still be okay to read it afterwards. It’s a good discussion as they share their thoughts on the story and the characters and there’s listener feedback on it as well.
Podcast Network: 2nd Airborne Division, Runtime: 1 hour 3 minutes, Rating: Good
Talk Star Wars Daily: Episode 11.14.17 features Marc and special guests Robert Cast and Tim Truax as they talk about the Rian Johnson Star Wars trilogy and live action TV series news.
Podcast Network: Star Wars Commonwealth, Runtime: 29 minutes, Rating: Good
Tarkin’s Top Shelf: Episode #23 starts with a little bit of discussion on their hopes for Thrawn: Alliances, then they begin their discussion on From A Certain Point of View by discussing the first 10 stories in the book. They touch on each one, some of the highlights and what the stories are about, and their thoughts on each. Overall, pretty positive.
Podcast Network: MakingStarWars.Net, Runtime: 49 minutes, Rating: Good
Tarkin’s Top Shelf: Episode #24 starts with some news and updates, then they cover the next 10 stories in From A Certain Point of View. Since they are breaking up the book into 10 story chunks, that means there will be two more episodes, but not necessarily the next episodes coming out as they’re planning on taking a break to review some other books like the new Luke book. Regardless, I’m enjoying these episodes and look forward to the next two on From A Certain Point of View. It’s fun hearing their opinions on the stories as short stories can be very divisive among readers.
Podcast Network: MakingStarWars.Net, Runtime: 46 minutes, Rating: Good

The Skyhoppers Podcast: Episode LXVIII starts off with some discussion of Imperial guards, Sheevy McSleaze, and pumpkin spice not being at Starbucks anymore. Then they transition around their main topic, Palpatine. They talk about Dark Empire and his role in that comic series, the possibility of his return, the Inquisitors, whether Vader was more powerful than him, the need for an apprentice, the special editions, and a few tangents along way as usual. Fun discussion.
