Here is this week’s Around the Web news roundup of Star Wars and beyond.

Book News

  • Del Rey has been posting special “social cards” for From A Certain Point of View. They’re neat little image teasers with snippets from the book. There is one for each story.
  • We now have a release date for Star Wars: The Last Jedi novelization by Jason Fry. According to edelweiss it will be released on March 6, 2018. The hardcover will also be 304 pages (as of the current listing). The three month delay has some speculating that there will be a significant revelation/twist in the movie warranty the extra bit of secrecy.

  • For Blade Runner fans, the second prequel short for Blade Runner 2049 is out now. It’s called “Nowhere to Run.”

  • This one might be good. It’s more or less the Black Widow movie without Black Widow. Red Sparrow will be out March next year.

  • Liam Neeson is back for a suspense thriller called The Commuter. Could be good, could be bad. It’ll be out in January.

  • As a sucker for westerns and movies made down under, I have to share this one. Sweet Country doesn’t have a US release date yet.

  • Guillermo del Toro looks to be in top form with his next movie The Shape of Water. It’ll be out in December.
