Here is this week’s Podcasts in Review. Plenty of Force Friday coverage in these, and lots of discussion on the Trevorrow being fired situation, but too soon for J.J.

Blabba the Hutt: Episode 35 kicks off with all their porgs. They talk a little about the Leia: Princess of Alderaan book, the Forces of Destiny shorts, their Force Friday experiences at Target in Arizona and the Disney Store in Ireland, Force Friday product availability, and they go over the Star Wars Rebels Season 4.

Blast Points: Episode 90 starts with Trevorrow being dropped, thoughts on whether Rian should replace him or J.J. Abrams (which is funny considering J.J. did end up replacing him). They talk about the new trailer for Star Wars Rebels Season 4, then they get to their main topic, the Star Wars Adventures In Colors and Shapes book and record from 1984. The go over the book, the story, play audio clips and explore something I didn’t even know existed. Listen in and you too can hear Han Solo chew out Anthony Daniels for grabbing the wrong part for the Falcon. Plus you get to hear the voice of the Falcon‘s central computer and the book name drops hoojibs.

Bombad Radio: Episode 278 covers Disney XD’s reboot of DuckTales. They talk about their memories of the original show, the movies, the new show, and how they compare. If you’re a fan of DuckTales, this one is worth a listen.

Brews and Blasters: Episode 134 covers their Force Friday experiences, there’s a Stargate tangent, some Rob Zombie impersonations, and they go over the rathtar, the hunt for Hera, the firing of Trevorrow, who might replace him, and then they do the “Need’em Got’em” for all the 3-3/4″ figures they picked up for Force Friday.

Coffee With Kenobi: Episode 85 starts with Dan’s Force Friday finds and features guests Scott Murray and Tom Gross. They talk about Trevorrow being dropped, a recent Rian Johnson interview, Paul Bettany joining the Han Solo Film, Galactic Nights returning to Disney World, and the new trailer for Star Wars Rebels Season 4. Dan also talks with author Tim Leong about his book Star Wars Super Graphic. They cover how the book came about, the research involved, and working with Lucasfilm for the project.

They talk about binge watching and planning the show around the new release schedule format, diversity, the characters and the ROTJ setting for season 2. Great interview. Afterwards they talk about the new trailer for Star Wars Rebels Season 4.

They talk about their Force Friday experiences at Toys R Us, Meyer and Walmart, as well as upcoming exclusives and other toys.

Afterwards they talk about who they would want to see battle each other in Star Wars, and they ponder how many times can you bleed a lightsaber crystal.

Musical Procrastination: Episode 30 is audio from the BAFTA interview with composer John Powell who will be doing the Han Solo movie. The interview covers how he started off with jingles, working with Han Zimmer, working with computers for composition, doing movies like Face/Off, Antz, Chicken’s Run, Shrek, United 93, Mr. and Mrs. Smith, How to Train Your Dragon, Ferdinand, why he does so many animation projects, his home studio and audience questions. Great music discussion, but fair warning, he drops a lot of F-bombs. If you’re looking to learn more about the composer that is doing the Han Solo movie, this is definitely the interview to listen to.

Jason and Jimmy play through some of the Force Link sounds for the new figures, they go over some of the extras for the Star Wars Rebels Season 3 Blu-ray, Dave’s comments, they dive back into the chosen one conversation and more.
