- Lost Stars by Claudia Gray is now out in paperback.
- Urban Enemies came out this week and features short stories by several authors including Kevin Hearne.
- Also out this week is The Dark Tower: The Art of the Film by Daniel Wallace.
- A Conversation in Blood by Paul S. Kemp came out in mass market paperback this week.
- John Jackson Miller will be contributing a story for the upcoming fantasy anthology Kingdoms Fall which will be out next year from Cohesion Press. The anthology will also include stories by Kevin J. Anderson and David Farland (aka Dave Wolverton).
Comic News
- Marvel.com has an interview with Kieron Gillen covering his upcoming transition to the main Star Wars line.
- CBR has an interview with Kelly Thompson covering the upcoming Captain Phasma comic.

Movie & Television News
- Ron Howard continues to tease the upcoming Han Solo film and has recently tweeted some droid pics. He also hinted that his brother, Clint Howard, may have a cameo.
- IGN posted a couple of interviews with John Boyega and Gwendoline Christie touching on The Last Jedi.
- According to The Hollywood Reporter, a new writer has been brought on board for Star Wars Episode IX.
- In other movie news, they’re remaking Death Wish, though this doesn’t look like it has much in common with the original. But it does have Bruce Willis.
- Woody Harrelson looks pretty good in the LBJ trailer. It’ll be out in November.
- The trailer for Stratton actually looks like a pretty good action flick, but no US release date yet.
- There’s a teaser trailer out for Mother! that isn’t very impressive, but it has potential and the cast is noteworthy: Jennifer Lawrence, Javier Bardem, Ed Harris, Michelle Pfeiffer, Domhnall Gleeson, Brian Gleeson, Stephen McHattie, Kristen Wiig, and Stefan Simchowitz. It’ll be out in September.
Toy & Collectible News
- Jedi News has a nice high resolution pic of the upcoming Captain Rex Black Series 6 inch figure. Note that while HASCON is getting an exclusive version, it’s just a packaging variant, and the retail version will hit later this year.
- Pre-orders are up for Gentle Giant’s Early Bird 4-Pack Jumbo Set.

- StarWars.com announced today what they’re calling a hyper-reality experience titled Star Wars: Secrets of the Empire.
