Here is this week’s Podcasts in Review.

Blast Points: Episode 77 starts with some news on The Last Jedi UK release and they talk about their own love of diving into spoilers when the movie gets released a day early. They also talk about the stolen Rancho Obi-Wan items, then they head into their main discussion, The Empire Strikes Back Super 8. They talk about how this 33 minute version of Star Wars plays out, what was cut, what was kept, and what’s different including alternate line readings. Good episode.

Brews and Blasters: Episode 121 covers haircuts, Conty’s dioramas and custom figures, a Blast Points shoutout, Chris Cornell’s passing, and then they dive into the Vanity Fair content. No need’em got’em but they do have listener emails. Fun episode.

Coffee With Kenobi: Episode 71 features guests Ian Doescher and Brian Sims as they join Dan for some various discussions including items being stolen from Rancho Obi-Wan, new Hallmark items, LEGO, Funko Pop and a character poll. Dan also has a great interview with audiobook narrator Marc Thompson. Good episode.

Comics With Kenobi: Episode 31 starts with news, then they review Rogue One #2, Poe Dameron #14 and #15, a new issue of A Star Wars Comic webcomic, The Screaming Citadel Part 1, 2 and 3. Afterwards they have an interview with Chris Ryall who talks about the upcoming IDW Star Wars comics and some hope for Jaxxon. Great episode.

Essential Bombad Radio: Episode 17 runs down the recent news topics like Adam West’s passing, Black Panther poster and trailer, Wonder Woman‘s success, other comic news, video game news and the Rancho Obi-Wan thefts.

Fly Casual: Episode 140 kicks off with VHS memories, then they review Doctor Aphra #7. Afterwards they talk mexican food, Vanity Fair, Episode IX being re-written, Adam Driver comments, rumors of new Star Wars trailer, Finn’s blaster, LEGO Snoke, Phasma unmasked, and some clips from past shows at the end. Good episode.

ForceCenter: Episode 66 discusses the possibility of a Boba Fett movie. Will it be next? Should it happen? They talk about diving deeper into the bounty hunter world, when it should take place, what genre it should be, and what bounty hunters should be in it. They also talk about what kind of bounty hunter they would be and they tackle listener questions.

ForceCenter: Episode 67 covers Bor Gullet, a recent Donald Glover interview, Colin Tevero comments on Episode IX, Star Wars land at D23 and Battlefront II. Their main discussion focuses on the 20th anniversary of the Star Wars special editions as they talk about seeing it for the first time and their thoughts on the changes. They wrap up with listener questions. Good episode.

Kanata’s Castle: Episode 10 covers some news topics then dives into Anakin Skywalker. While the discussion is the Chosen One, they give a really nice overview of the entirety of Anakin’s character. It makes for some great discussion and it gets you thinking about a lot of different aspects of Anakin.

Less Than 12 Parsecs: Episode 130 reflects on three weeks worth of Star Wars and Tim’s love of Star Wars.

Less Than 12 Parsecs: Episode 131 features Tim as he talks about having more time and debates what to use it for – should Less Than 12 Parsecs continue or should he do a new show with a longer format?

Rebel Force Radio: Episode 6.2.2017 features guest Chris Macht as they talk about the 40th anniversary of Star Wars, Chris’ reality tv show, Star Wars locations they’d like to visit, Fulcrums, a program called Star Wars Through the Decades that Jimmy was on, an interview with one of the screenwriters for A New Hope, The Last Jedi LEGO reveals, the squashing of speculation which is a very interesting topic, and the controversy of the Vader “No” in Darth Vader #1. Good episode.

Rebel Force Radio: Episode 6.9.2017 begins with some thorough coverage of the Rancho Obi-Wan items being stolen, then they talk with Matt Lanter about Timeless, makeup and his thoughts on Rogue One. James Arnold Taylor joins them for some more Star Wars discussion, then Jimmy and Jason talk about the discrepancies in Darth Vader #1 and lightsaber crystals. Good episode. It’s great to hear from Matt and James again.

RetroZap: RetroZap Podcast Network Mixtape 2017 is a cool mixture of highlights from all the various podcasts on the RetroZap podcast network. If you haven’t listened to all of them, this is a great way to try them all out.

Star Wars 7×7: Episode 1069 covers Leia’s biggest challenge in The Last Jedi as Allen talks about the issues she’ll have to deal with. I have to admit I hadn’t considered all the problems she’s up against. Good episode.

Talk Star Wars: Episode 72 covers various topics including Sifo-Dyas, Lando, DJ, the Force and genetics, are their Jedi school dropouts, Star Wars cars and license plates, the future of Star Wars films, black BB-8 and Luke’s caretakers. Good episode.

The Geek Directive: WAITING For Wonder Woman covers what they’ve been up to, they talk a little about Wonder Woman but not too much since only Scott has seen it so far, but they do talk about all the various attempts to bring Wonder Woman to the big screen. They also talk about other movies coming out like The Mummy, Transformers and Spider-Man. Afterwards they talk news including Peggy Carter, Pandora land, Guardians of the Galaxy ride and other stuff. Good episode.

The Sandcrawler: Episode 27 discusses the Rancho Obi-Wan news, they talk recent purchases, a Tusken Raider in Batman, tip for unruly figure robes, the pronunciation of Tantive IV, their new website and more. Fun episode as always.

The Skyhoppers Podcast: Episode XLV features Alexandra as they talk about Obi-Wan. From his lines in the original trilogy to their perception of him, the prequels and Star Wars Rebels, they cover a lot of ground and a few tangents. It’s a good episode with a lot of fun discussions.
