Free Comic Book Day is Saturday May 6 and there are all kinds of events going on to help make this day even cooler. Below you’ll find a list of the events the 501st Legion will be at.

AUSTRIA

  • Austrian Garrison will be in Wörthersee for Star Wars Day Klagenfurt from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

AUSTRALIA

  • Redback Garrison will be in Helensvale for Social Meet up NightQuarter, and in Bundaberg for Starlight Week at EB Games.
  • Southern Cross Garrison will be in Campbelltown, New South Wales for Free Comic Book Day, in Canberra, ACT for Free Comic Book Day at Impact Comics, and in Gosford, NSW for the Central Coast ComiCon.
  • Southern Dewback Garrison will be in Adelaide for Free Comic Book Day.

California

  • Central California Garrison will be in Sacramento, CA for Free Comic Book Day at Empire’s Comics Vault from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, in Hanford, CA for Free Comic Book Day at DJ’s Collectible Shoppe from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, in Fresno, CA for Star Wars Fans Blood Drive at Central California Blood Center from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, in Modesto, CA for Star Wars Night with the Modesto Nuts at John Thurman Field at 6:00 PM, and in Elverta for Golden Coast Adventure Faire at Gibson Rancho Park from May 6 to 7th.

Book News

  • Catalyst by James Luceno is now available in paperback. Worth noting, the paperback edition includes the short story “The Voice of the Empire” by Murr Lafferty (first appeared in Star Wars Insider #170).
  • Pawn: A Chronicle of the Sibyl’s War by Timothy Zahn came out this week. So if you enjoyed Thrawn and are looking for some more Zahn books, you might want to try this one out.
  • I might have missed this if it was announced at Star Wars Celebration, but Forces of Destiny will be getting some books, three of which might be worthy enough for adults to check out.
