Random House has unveiled the new cover for the Rogue One novelization by Alexander Freed.

Edelweiss also has a new entry that’s pretty interesting, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story – The Official Collector’s Edition. This guide book by Titan is a 96 page hardcover (10.9 in H | 8 in W) with a January 31, 2017 release date. This looks to be a special collector’s edition of Star Wars Insider content.

In other news, Timothy Zahn‘s latest book StarCraft: Evolution is out now.

Comic News

While searching for a preview of Star Wars: Doctor Aphra #1, I stumbled across this Previews World preview of the entire first issue. Catch it while it lasts.

Convention & Event News

Star Wars: Destiny Preview Event is today in Roseville, MN. Star Wars guests include Timothy Zahn.
Star Wars Identities is heading to London and will be there from November 18, 2016 to September 3, 2017.
Local Comic Book Store Day is November 19 in Oshkosh, WI at House of Heroes. Star Wars guest John Jackson Miller will be there from 1:00 to 4:00 PM.
Sci-Fi Authorfest 10 is November 20 in Beavertown, OR. Star Wars guest include Timothy Zahn.
Timothy Zahn will be in Bandon, OR for a book signing at Winter River Books at 1:00 PM on November 26th.
Paradise City Comic Con is December 9 to 11 in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Star Wars guests include John Jackson Miller, Billy Dee Williams, Paul Blake, Garrick Hagon, Brian Herring and James Marsters.
Star Wars Celebration Orlando is April 13 to 16, 2017 in Orlando, FL.
World Fantasy Con is November 2 to 5, 2017 in San Antonio, TX. Star Wars guests include Martha Wells.

JetSet Magazine has an online interview with Donnie Yen which includes some comments on Rogue One including the fact that it was his idea to have his character be blind.
The Rogue One tv spots are starting to hit. Here’s the video for “Together.”

Rebels Recon is out for Star Wars Rebels “Imperial Supercommandos” as well as the official episode guide.

Beyond Star Wars, the trailer for Valerian looks really interesting. I love The Fifth Element and aliens, so this one has potential. It’ll be out in July.
