  • The artist for the Thrawn cover has been revealed and they have a nice behind-the-scenes look at some of the early concepts and alternate takes they did. Two Dots also designed some of the awesome looking Brazilian Star Wars covers such as Darth Plagueis.
  • Early copies of Ahsoka are out at SDCC.

  • IGN has an interview with Dave Filoni chatting about Star Wars Rebels.
  • While I could care less about Hot Wheels, the life size X-Wing car is absolutely awesome.

  • Hillwalk Tours has a cool infographic showing off all the Star Wars shooting locations around the world.
  • This has to be the best way to say hello to your hero as these two fans pay tribute to John Williams then meet the maestro himself.

Movie & Television News

  • EW has the scoop on two of the alien characters from Rogue One. Yes, that includes space monkey!
  • One other Rogue One character was revealed at SDCC.
  •  EW’s Anthony Breznican has a nice interview with Idris Elba talking about Star Trek Beyond and Stephen King’s The Dark Tower.
  • I love a good western and In A Valley of Violence looks pretty good. It’ll be out in October.

  • Jackie Chan, Johnny Knoxville, yeah, this looks funny. Skiptrace will be out in September.

Toy & Collectible News

  • The Toys R Us Black Series 6-inch Astromech Droid Three Pack is now available online.
  • The Black Series 6-inch Jyn Erso has a special SDCC packaging exclusive. The figure will be out later this year at retailers, but with the normal packaging.
  • Fans at SDCC got a glimpse of the upcoming Hasbro Princess Leia (A New Hope) Black Series 6-inch figure. I have to be honest, I’ll be holding out for the S.H. Figuarts version, which will come eventually. They’ve been putting out 1:12 scales figures that blow Hasbro away.

  • Toyark has some nice coverage of the Star Wars collectibles at SDCC.
