As part of the ramp up for the Journey to Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Disney-Lucasfilm Press released four eBook short stories written by Landry Q. Walker. Each of the four stories stars an alien side character for Star Wars: The Force Awakens. We took the time to interview Landry to get to know more about him, the project, and the stories within. Enjoy!
With Tales From A Galaxy Far, Far Away: Aliens being your first Star Wars project, how did it come about?
Landry Walker: I was working at the Sideshow Collectibles office – I do freelance story development for with them with their Court of the Dead property, and I checked my email. The email basically said “Hi. Do you want to work on Star Wars?” And then a bunch of other stuff about the project, I think. I handed the phone over to my comics collaborator Eric Jones who was with me that day and had to have him read the email because I had stopped breathing after that first sentence. The Washington Post got funny and made a mockumentary video of what Ken Burns would do if he documented the Galactic Civil War. Unfortunately I can’t direct copy this video here onto the blog, but trust me linking to it is worth it.

‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ Spoiler Free Review
December 18, 2015 at 9:56 am | Posted in Episode VII, Movies, Reviews, Star Wars | 1 CommentIn order to give everyone ample time to see and enjoy the movie, we’re going to opt for a very simple and spoiler free review of Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Enjoy!
Quite simply, J.J. Abrams did it. He captured the magical essence of Star Wars. Between him, Lawrence Kasdan and all of the cast and crew, they nailed everything that’s great about the saga. There’s humor, action, drama and most important of all, mystery. There are so many questions but it’s the kind of thing that raises interest and curiosity rather than frustration. The Force Awakens reveals a new era of Star Wars, a new chapter in its history, and thankfully, a wonderful window at a new saga of films. This is the first of a new trilogy, a great first step as fans hop on for the ride. All the hype, all the publicity and mystery, it’s all worth it. Star Wars: The Force Awakens is great. Go see it, and be prepared to watch it more than once. It’s that good.
I give it a five out of five metal bikinis.
