  • Carolina Garrison will be in Kill Devil Hills, NC for Young Adult Con at Kill Devil Hills Library from 3:30 to 4:30 PM.
  • Garrison Carida will be in Williamsport, PA for the Weird Al concert.
  • Great Lakes Garrison will be in Brighton, MI for Livingston County’s Mini Comic Con.

  • Star Garrison will be at Sachse Public Library for Star Wars Reading Day.

Star Wars #7 shakes things up by going back in time to showcase a little adventure Obi-Wan had during his exile on Tatooine. Sadly, this may be a story only the most diehard of Obi-Wan fans will enjoy as it’s not very important to the overall scheme of things. Still, the artwork is nice to look at. Steampunk can sometimes be a trite setting for watered down storytelling and mediocre writers looking to attach themselves to a hot genre. There’s no doubt there’s some great steampunk cosplay out there, but I’ve been hard pressed to find some good steampunk storytelling. Lo and behold Lady Mechanika. This comic finally proved to me that steampunk is a genre ripe for storytelling and that there are actually some writers out there than can do it justice. Click here to read our full review.
