Preparation For Celebration: Tips For Anaheim

preparation-for-celebrationFor those heading to Star Wars Celebration Anaheim, there’s lots to plan for and plenty of tips and tricks to keep in mind. With the schedule up and the convention fast approaching, now is definitely the time to start planning. What panels are you going to go see? What should you bring? What else is there to do? There’s lots to consider so here are some things to get you started.

First off, figure out if there’s anything you want to get signed. Some of the biggest names in Star Wars will be at Celebration, and this may be a once in a lifetime opportunity to get something signed by Luke Skywalker or Ian McDiarmid. Remember that most autographs will require a fee, so don’t get carried away thinking you’ll get the entire cast and crew to sign your poster. The big names will also require a wait in line. You can find a lot of info over on Official Pix which handles the autographing at Celebration and even offers pre-orders. However, the cast and crew isn’t the only guests who will be there.   • Humble Bundle has an interesting sci-fi bundle going on right now that includes The Golden Queen by David Farland (aka Dave Wolverton), Veiled Alliances by Kevin J. Anderson, Assemblers of Infinity by Doug Beason and Kevin J. Anderson, Working Stiff by Kevin J. Anderson and Five By Five 3: Target Zone which also features Kevin J. Anderson and Michael A.   • Greg Weisman, producer for Star Wars Rebels season one and writer for Kanan: The Last Padawan #1, has a kickstarter out for an audioplay based on his Rain of the Ghosts novel which will feature voice talents like Vanessa Marshall, Steve Blum, Jim Cummings and many others.
  • Pre-orders for A New Proof will go up on April 7th. This book covers the Star Wars Kenner packaging design of 1977 to 1979.
  • StarWars.com has a first look at Jeffrey Brown’s Darth Vader and Friends.
  • Jedi Bibliothek reported some leaked artwork for an upcoming Star Wars Old Republic book. Artists T.J. Wright posted it on his blog.
  • John Jackson Miller has posted his production notes for A New Dawn which came out in paperback this week.
  • You can also pick up John Jackson Miller‘s novel Overdraft: The Orion Offensive this month for just $2 on Amazon.
