‘King Tiger #1’ Announced
March 28, 2015 at 8:30 am | Posted in Comic Books, Dark Horse | Leave a commentTags: doug wheatley, king tiger, randy stradley
Randy Stradley and Doug Wheatley have been working on the King Tiger series here and there as they’ve piggybacked the story into other comics, however, now it will be getting it’s own, standalone line starting with King Tiger #1.
Blood, death, and fire—the darkest kind of magic. A monstrous secret from King Tiger’s past has found the mystic warrior, but can Tiger’s skills and sorcery triumph against an unthinkable supernatural obscenity linked to his own destiny? If the Tiger falls, the Dragon with rise!
King Tiger #1 will be out in August and Nerdist did a nice interview with Randy Stradley you can check out here.
N: So, with that in mind, what can readers look forward to from this series?
RS: Well, without giving too much away, we’ll learn a little bit about the kind of man Tiger used to be compared to who he is now. And Tiger’s past catches up with him in a really huge and horrible way—death and destruction on a massive scale. There’s lots of kung fu, sword fighting, and even gun play, all with a magical twist. But at its heart, this is really a love story. And Doug Wheatley is making every panel of it awesome.

Here is this week’s Podcasts in Review.
Bombad Radio: Episode 190 features an interview with writer and editor Stuart Moore who talks about E.G.O.S., Zodiac and Marvel’s Civil War. I really liked the comments he had about Zodiac and what it was like working with Stan Lee on that project. Very cool interview.
Episode 191 kicks off with some Star Wars news, then heads into their Star Wars Rebels discussion as they talk about the their initial thoughts heading into the show, their thoughts on season one, and how it compares to The Clone Wars. They do delve into spoilers, but I think most fans at this point have already watched all of season one, so enjoy.
Fangirls Going Rogue: Episode #17 starts with a Star Wars Rebels season finale discussion, dives into some listener feedback, features a quick Oscar discussion, and some more fashion tips from Amy Ratcliffe on customizing accessories. They also have an interview with Jennifer Landa about her Star Wars wedding, and this episode’s character discussion focuses on Leia. Great episode as always, with a really nice balance of topics in this one. Continue Reading Podcasts in Review…
