Magazine News

  • Star Wars Books revealed that Star Wars author John Jackson Miller will be writing a new short story for Star Wars Insider #157 which will feature Palpatine and Vader and tie-in to Paul S. Kemp‘s Lords of the Sith.

We’re thrilled to announce that John has written a new short story,”Orientation,” for Star Wars Insider issue 157 that ties directly into Paul S. Kemp’s upcoming novel STAR WARS: LORDS OF THE SITH. The story stars Emperor Palpatine and Darth Vader and is filled with some fun twists and turns.

“Orientation” is our second original short story of the year, following Jason Fry’s, “Last Call at the Zero Angle,” in Star Wars Insider Magazine issue 156. This is just the start of what will be an exciting year of original short fiction developed with Lucasfilm and their The Story Group. All the canon stories will continue to develop and enlarge the story of Star Wars by exploring the characters who make the Galaxy Far Far Away so compelling and entertaining.

Movie & Television News

  • Spider-Man is now under the Marvel cinematic universe as Marvel and Sony reach a deal. Click here to check out the details.

  • While this one is just a teaser, Regression looks promising. Starring Emma Watson and Ethan Hawke, it will hit theaters in August.
  • I don’t usually go for mushy movies, but the cast in this one is enticing. Aloha includes Bradley Cooper, Danny McBride, Alec Baldwin, Bill Murray and Emma Stone. It hits theaters in May.
  • And here’s a look at Spectre which will be out in November.
  • Saving the best for last, Guy Ritchie is doing The Man from U.N.C.L.E. and it looks pretty awesome. Note that’s Man of Steel‘s Henry Cavill. It will also be out in August.
