Assembly of Geeks: “Looking Back at a Geeky 2014” includes their thoughts on the Fall 2014 tv shows like Blacklist, Revenge, Goldbergs, Gotham, Star Wars Rebels, Arrow, Flash and Sons of Anarchy. They don’t go too in depth on any of them but they do touch on them and their general thoughts. They talk about the Topps style release of The Force Awakens character names, they cover the female Ghostbuster cast rumors, the idea of a Batman dream sequence for Dark Knight Rises, Marc Singer coming to Arrow, and their favorite Geek movies of the year. Plus there’s their good bye segment to Tricia as this is her last episode. Certainly a great episode to check out.
Bombad Radio: Episode 180 is a team gathering as they get everyone together for a Christmas-cast. They talk all things geek and Star Wars, from director cuts vs theatrical releases, to film scores and who their favorite The Force Awakens characters will be. It’s a fun episode. The audio starts out a little rough for the first couple minutes but clears up after that, so stick with it. They also preview a little bit of the next release of their Zillo Rising audiodrama.
Coffee With Kenobi: Legends Library’s “Dark Force Rising” episode covers the book with an extensive overview of the plot, great for anyone who hasn’t read the book and is looking to find out what it’s about. The hosts work well together and keep things interesting. If you’re looking for an EU book podcast, this one is worth tuning into. After their overview of the book, they consider the qualifications of a recommended reading list and ask listeners what they think the standards should be.
