Book News

• If you missed out on the limited edition Origins anthology Heroes! there’s now a kickstarter giving everyone a second chance. Stories include authors Aaron Allston, Timothy Zahn, Michael A. Stackpole and many others.
• John Jackson Miller‘s Overdraft the Orion Offensive is just $2 this month for Kindle owners.
• Chronicle Books has a trailer for Jeffrey Brown‘s next Star Wars book Good Night Darth Vader (which will be out July 22).

Comic News

• The very last Star Wars release from Dark Horse comics will be the Gallery Edition Dark Times: The Path to Nowhere which will be out November 18, 2014.

Convention & Event News

• Phoenix Comicon is June 5-8th in Phoenix, AZ. Star Wars authors Michael A. Stackpole, Kevin Hearne (full schedule), Daniel Abraham and Ty Franck (aka James S.A. Corey – full schedule here) will be there. Be sure to stop by the Del Rey booth for free Star Wars swag. They’ll also be having an author hunt. You can also catch Star Wars artists Dan Parsons, Joe Corroney, Katie Cook, Spencer Brinkerhoff III, Tom Hodges and comic writer Mike Baron.
• Origins is June 12-15 in Columbus, OH. Star Wars author Timothy Zahn will be in attendance.
• World Blood Drive Day is June 14th. The 501st Legion and author Ryder Windham will be out in force. Be sure to participate. Ryder will be at the Warwick Library event in Rhode Island.
• James S.A. Corey will be doing a book tour along the West coast for Cibola Burn. You can check out their tour dates here on Facebook.
• Special Edition New York City is June 14-15 and will include Star Wars guests Corinna Bechko, Gabriel Hardman, Howard Chaykin, Mahmud Asrar and Brian Wood.
• For those planning way ahead of time, runDisney is holding a Star Wars Half Marathonwhich will be January 15 to 18, 2015.
