The Darth Maul Game That Could Have Been

IGN broke a story about a game project that Red Fly started which would have starred Darth Maul and went under the working title Damage. The game would have come out in 2010, but was canceled. Interestingly enough, the story concept for the game included other Sith such as Darth Krayt and Darth Talon at one point and would have tackled the origins of Darth Maul. Star Wars Underworld has a nice write-up on the incident. Below, you can check out the test footage of the game.

Wouldn’t the game’s timeline have been way off if they had Maul interacting with Krayt, much less Talon? Maul was bisected (though, yes I know he officially survived) by Kenobi a half century before Hett became Krayt.

Yeah, I have no idea how they planned to work them into the story. Maybe some sort of free-for-all mode?

Oooooo that would be intriguing. Star Wars skinned Super Smash Bros style.
