Here is this week’s Podcasts in Review.

Assembly of Geeks: “Guardian of the Plastic Galaxy” covers the newly released trailer for Guardians of the Galaxy which, I agree, looks awesome. In this episode they also have a really nice interview with Brian Stillman, the creator of Plastic Galaxy: The Story of Star Wars Toys, a documentary covering the old Kenner Star Wars action figures. Other topics in this show stick with the theme of movies like Her, Fantastic Four, and The Lego Movie.

“Animated & Geeky Characters” episode kicks off with a discussion on laser tag before heading into old cartoons, tv shows like Firefly and Big Bang Theory, and recent tv news like a Robin Hood and Flash remake. The show caps off with a RoboCop review. Since I haven’t seen RoboCop yet, I skipped the end of the podcast, but I definitely enjoyed the rest.

Big Pop Fun: Episode 99 is another James Arnold Taylor “Podcaster in Training” episode. This time James talks with Jason Surrell, a Disney imagineer. Jason talks about working for Disney, writing the history of the Haunted Mansion, meeting the Avengers on set, and working with Johnny Depp. It’s a very cool interview and worth checking out.
