Art News
- Artist John Raya designed some awesome looking Star Wars football helmets. Seriously, even if you don’t like football, you have to admit they’re cool looking.
- Star Wars artist Dave Dorman is taking suggestions for his next sketchbook. Be sure to tell him you want Star Wars.
Book News
- Martha Wells has an update on her two new Raksura novellas which will not only be available in eBook but physical editions as well.
- If you haven’t read Paul S. Kemp‘s The Hammer and the Blade yet, you can pick up the eBook version on Kindle or the Nook for just $1.99.
- Kevin J. Anderson posted a nice picture showcasing all the books he’ll have coming out this year and when.
- Author Michael A. Stackpole has a nice write up on eBook rentals.
- There’s still some time left to get in on the Icarus: A Graphic Novel kickstarter which will feature a short story by Michael A. Stackpole and possibly illustrations by Joe Corroney (15.5k stretch goal).
Convention News
- PensaCon is a few weeks away (February 21-23) and will be in Pensacola, FL. Star Wars guests include Peter Mayhew, Billy Dee Williams, Daniel Logan, John Morton, Timothy Zahn and Dave Dorman.
- Fans in Germany can look forward to seeing Rancho Obi-Wan at FedCon 2014, though you’ll have plenty of time to plan as it won’t be until May. Steve Sansweet will be there with a booth and holding an auction so if you can make, be sure to check it out.
- Also looking ahead, Star Wars artist Joe Corroney will be heading to Indy Pop Con at the end of May, C2E2 in April,
Episode VII Rumors
- According to Ali Arikan, the shooting schedule for Star Wars Episode VII will be May 19 through August 8th (via Jedi News).
Interviews
- Jimmy Mac has a video interview with voice actor Stephen Stanton you can check out right here covering the Sundance Film Festival and the Roger Ebert documentary Life Itself.
- Matt Staggs has an interview with Maul: Lockdown author Joe Schreiber over on Suvudu.
- The Lounge Network has a video interview with Star Wars artist Dave Dorman.
Movie and Television News
- Jedi News has got confirmation from Lucasfilm that Star Wars: The Clone Wars Season 6/Bonus Content/The Lost Episodes will not be airing on Cartoon Network for the US/UK. Still no word yet on where or when US and UK fans will get to see the episodes.
- StarWars.com has pictures of the Star Wars Rebels propaganda art cards that 2500 lucky individuals received.
- Jedi News also discovered confirmation of the Star Wars Rebels movie premiering this summer on the Disney channel as long with a series of Star Wars Rebels shorts.
Video Game News
- Star Wars: Tiny Death Star got a game update yesterday including 100 new missions and more.
- The next edition of Disney Infinity in development will include Star Wars elements according to IGN via the Wall Street Journal.
- The Galactic Starfighter Digital Expansion for Star Wars: The Old Republic went live yesterday for all players.
- A Zayne Carrick outfit will soon be available in Star Wars: The Old Republic.
