Here is this week’s Podcasts in Review.

Coffee with Kenobi: Book Chat with Joe Schreiber is one of the best Maul: Lockdown interviews I’ve heard yet. They dive deep into the book covering motivations, character direction, the development of the book and a whole lot more without spoiling anything. It’s an excellent interview with great audio quality and I highly recommend checking it out. It gives some really nice insight into the novel and how Joe went about writing it.

Fangirls Going Rogue: Episode #3 features special guest Mark Newbold and lots of fun Star Wars discussion. They talk Year of the Fangirl, fan feedback, the Millennium Falcon as a character and much more. Listening to this episode really picked up my spirits. Definitely a good one to listen to.

Full of Sith: Episode XLVIII starts off with an interview with author Joe Schreiber covering his latest Star Wars novel, Maul: Lockdown. Afterwards, Bryan, Mike and Bobbie dive into some Star Wars news and rumors. The audio with Joe is a little rough, but it’s a good interview.

RADIO 1138: Episode January 2014 begins with a full year in review of all the major Star Wars events that happened in 2013. Then they speak with Maul: Lockdown author Joe Schreiber for a very nice discussion about his latest Star Wars novel.

RebelForce Radio: Episode 1.17.14 follows up on some feedback they received on their year in review episodes, including Kyle Newman’s opinions on Star Wars LEGO. They also cover the latest news and rumors for Star Wars Episode VII and the possible Boba Fett spin off film.

Secrets of Star Wars: Episode 7 covers some discussion of the latest rumors and speculation on what we could see in Star Wars Episode VII. They tackle the latest casting rumors like Hugo Weaving, as well as the possibilities such as Thrawn or even a return of Darth Vader. Fun discussion and worth a listen.

Star Wars Action News: Episode 414 covers the latest collecting news and includes a review of Sideshows Chewbacca figure, Wave 3 of Hasbro’s Black Series line, and some Christmas stories including a fun one involving Jar Jar’s tongue.

Star Wars Bookworms: Episode 17 breaks stride by not covering any reviews. Instead, they tackle the Star Wars story group and the move of Star Wars comics to Marvel. They’re joined by guests Tricia Barr and Josh Stolte. Discussions range from the new Darth Maul mini-series, canon, favorite Dark Horse memories and more.

Episode 18 includes guest Dan Curto as the hosts talk a little Star Wars collecting before diving into a review of Ewoks: Shadows of Endor and the Death Star Owner’s Technical Manual. You really don’t have to worry about spoilers on either one, so this is a good one for all fans.

Star Wars Minute: Empire Minute 1, 2, 3 kicks off their coverage of The Empire Strikes Back. Episodes one and two cover the crawl and episode 3 jumps into the first scenes of the movie. While I haven’t gotten farther than that yet, there’s plenty more minutes already out, so be sure to dive in. As with the first film, they’re reviewing the movie minute-by-minute with insightful and funny commentary on one of the greatest films ever made.
