Star Wars Books has posted micro-excerpt #1 for Honor Among Thieves by James S.A. Corey.
Han crossed his arms and shrugged. “You know, I’ve never in my life been bossed around as much as since I hooked up with you rebels. It makes me wonder if you guys actually know what that word means.”
“What word?”
“Rebel.”
Scarlet carefully went over her gray maintenance jumpsuit, checking to see if her various tools and patches were all in place. She had a methodical nature Han found grating and familiar at the same time.
“We’re not anarchists,” she said, tugging at the patch on one sleeve that identified her as a level-three technician. “We have goals. We want to end the Empire.”
“And replace it with what?”
“You know what,” Scarlet said. Her crossed arms matched his own. “Are you trying to make fun of me?”
“It was rhetorical. I’ve heard the speech, sweetheart. ‘A glorious return to the Republic of old.’ To a guy like me, a new boss is still a boss.”
“Then why are you helping us?”
“Honestly? Still trying to figure that one out.”
Honor Among Thieves will be out in hardcover, digital and audiobook formats on March 4, 2014. You can find out more via Random House’s official product page.

The Black Series: Han Solo

One of the better figures in Wave 2 of Hasbro’s 6-inch Black Series figures is none other than Han Solo. He looks realistic, comes with a decent amount of accessories, has a good paint app, and some really good articulation.

Here is this week’s Podcasts in Review.
Coffee with Kenobi: Book Chat with Joe Schreiber is one of the best Maul: Lockdown interviews I’ve heard yet. They dive deep into the book covering motivations, character direction, the development of the book and a whole lot more without spoiling anything. It’s an excellent interview with great audio quality and I highly recommend checking it out. It gives some really nice insight into the novel and how Joe went about writing it.
Fangirls Going Rogue: Episode #3 features special guest Mark Newbold and lots of fun Star Wars discussion. They talk Year of the Fangirl, fan feedback, the Millennium Falcon as a character and much more. Listening to this episode really picked up my spirits. Definitely a good one to listen to.
Full of Sith: Episode XLVIII starts off with an interview with author Joe Schreiber covering his latest Star Wars novel, Maul: Lockdown. Afterwards, Bryan, Mike and Bobbie dive into some Star Wars news and rumors. The audio with Joe is a little rough, but it’s a good interview.
RADIO 1138: Episode January 2014 begins with a full year in review of all the major Star Wars events that happened in 2013. Then they speak with Maul: Lockdown author Joe Schreiber for a very nice discussion about his latest Star Wars novel.
RebelForce Radio: Episode 1.17.14 follows up on some feedback they received on their year in review episodes, including Kyle Newman’s opinions on Star Wars LEGO. They also cover the latest news and rumors for Star Wars Episode VII and the possible Boba Fett spin off film. Continue Reading Podcasts in Review…
